Awaking in the morning, a whispered prayer for the day,
a hope that I can be of use, in his mighty hands I will lay.
They say his path is narrow and many will never find
the way that leads to joy and peace, they live in their own mind.
I pray that I can show them, this gift they could receive.
I pray that they will hear his voice and with true faith will believe.
The call they may have heard before, a voice that’s been denied,
For many hear the word of truth but are content where they reside.
If only they could feel the rain, that washes sin away,
if only they could feel his presence with them everyday.
If only they could break his bread and taste his wine so sweet,
if they knew what he endured for them, they would bow down at his feet.
I wish that all could know his love; He is the way, the truth, the light,
raising sinners from the dead, restoring the blind to sight.
But we are in the Devils land, they playground that he keeps,
his joy comes from our pain, he smiles when we weep.
I know that his days are few, which makes our call so dire,
every soul we bring to God is one plucked from his fire.
And so I pray for strength and faith enough to overcome,
the lies that are of Satan’s world, with the power of the Son.
I pray the soil fertile; I pray the seeds go deep,
I pray that I can save a few, souls for God to keep.
